THEY brought us the land train and have not long completed their refurbishment of the Court Building – and on Tuesday evening Stonehaven Town Partnership, STP, will have its AGM.

Most people in Stonehaven will know and enjoy seeing the Stoney Express as it rattles around town with its coaches full of waving visitors.

And everyone will have seen the new lease of life being enjoyed at the former Sherriff Court Building.

But many will not really be aware of the group behind these – and other – initiatives undertaken for the good of the town.

The STP is a charitable organisation established to promote and encourage voluntary activity within the local community of Stonehaven. Many of the town’s associations and groups are members of the partnership.

Everyone is welcome to the AGM at the Invercarron Resource Centre on Tuesday evening (November 26) at 7pm, which is an opportunity to meet the trustees and learn more about past and future possible projects.
