It’s all happening at Stonehaven Community Council –

HORIZON Group’s recent ‘War on Weeds’ heads a packed agenda for next week’s meeting of Stonehaven and District Community Council, SDCC.

Chairman Raymond Christie is to open the meeting with a statement on the volunteers’ efforts in the town centre.

There are many topics up for discussion on Tuesday that should be of interest to locals, including Stonehaven’s recently announced role as the starting point of the eighth stage in the Tour of Britain.

Also included are the latest police report, updates on two windfarm proposals, 20 mph zoning in Stonehaven and concerns about access onto the restored White Bridge over the Carron.

And there will be a report by Alan Venters on the difficulties now faced by Mackie FP due to a loss of one of their practice pitches.

The SDCC meets in the former Court House, Dunnottar Avenue at 7pm on Tuesday March 10. Members of the public are welcome to attend and contribute to the discussions where appropriate.
