A STONEHAVEN business has responded to the on-going challenges of social distancing by redesigning its frontage so it can safely serve the public its seaside treats.
Aunt Betty’s has applied for full planning permission for alterations to form a new shop frontage and a new internal layout.
If the proposals get the go-ahead, the existing frontage will be replaced with full width bi-fold doors. These will allow the public level access to a counter, where they can be served with their ice-creams, sweets and coffees.
A new fixed canopy is also proposed for the promenade property – to provide shelter for customers.
Full details of the application, along with a facility to comment, are available on the Aberdeenshire Council website.
