Aberdeenshire Council have advised that following discussions with Senior Politicians it has been decided to reduce the Spaces for People measures across Aberdeenshire including Stonehaven.  It has been agreed that the measures will remain at “pinch points” where queues form, namely:

  • Margaret Street/Allardice Street – Greggs to Red Red Robin
  • Evan Street – McHardy’s
  • Evan Street – Boots to Guilianotti’s
  • Evan Street/Barclay Street – Waldies to Co-op
  • Beach Promenade – Scallywags to Molly’s

The 20mph speed limit remains in force.

Discussions with the Roads Service will take place regarding the timescales for implementation but it is anticipated that the removal of barriers will take place in the coming days and be removed by the weekend.
