Stonehaven Farmers’ Market this Saturday, 4 December 2021

This Saturday sees the return of the Market for the last time this calendar year. After a long layoff due to Covid restrictions it was fine to see Stonehaven Farmers’ Market back in action earlier this year. You may recall last month’s market when we were hit by a squall that collapsed a couple of gazebos. The guys from the shed were on hand to give assistance where it was required.

The forecast for this coming Saturday isn’t “too bad” with sunshine interspersed with some showers, or, if you wish, showers interspersed……you get the idea, I think.

The regular, local, produce stalls will be there with their selections of fresh fish, fresh meats of various types, including game, the choccie and biccie stalls to serve your sweet tooth, the artisan bread guys, Cove Honey bees, shellfish from Johnners etc. We’ll have a couple of new providers at this market who are returning after last month’s initial stormy introduction in the form of Raw Culture with their locally produced healthy Kombucha, Ulkar Bruce with her speciality dried foods and teas and Wark Farm Pies. affafinepies. So there’s sufficient variety to satisfy most tastes.

Also for this market your local Men’s Shed will be there, as well as helping to administer the market, will have a sales stall where they will be selling their upcycled/recycled Christmas ornaments at a very fair price.

The Chief Elf & his helpers have been busy this past week or six

Chief Elf, Bill Emslie, supported by his team have been working feverishly to get material ready for market. It’s going to be on a “first come first served” basis. All monies received will be ploughed back into offsetting the operating costs of the Shed as well as supporting local community projects.

Also in attendance at this end of year Market will be Gordon Milne with his array of traditional Christmas holly wreaths.

So, we’d like to invite you all to come down for the last market of the year, this Saturday, and we look forward to welcoming and seeing you all there.

The Market’s operating hours are 0900-1300. Come on down!
