The first Stonehaven Farmers’ and Produce Market makes a welcome return to the town after the festive break. The next market will be held on Margaret Street, adjacent to the Market Square, on Saturday 5th February 2022.
The market will have the usual regular stalls covering most food groups (Grampian City Fish, A Taste of the Wild, Ingram’s Quality Fresh Pork, Aberdeenshire Highland Beef, The Lobster Shop from Johnners) as well as the usual selections from the artisan breadmakers (The Bread Guy, Vegan Bay Bakers as well as Cove Honey Bees). We have the welcome return of Richie’s Chilli Sauces to add a bit of bite to your fish supper, or not. Wark Home Farm Pies (Beth) and Nuttea (Ulkar) return after having joined the regular stallholders late last year. The sweet toothed can find their own particular favourites at Shona’s Shortbread and Karen’s The Wee Brown Mouse bakery and they will be joined for the first time by Millata Chocolate who provide both dairy and gluten free items all the way from Portlethen. Alcoholic and other beverages will be under the canopy at the From Scotland stall who promote and sell small batch product. The health drink guys under the guise of Raw Culture are back with their classic Kombucha health drinks. The freshest of veggies will be on sale through Westerton Farms and this year we welcome Newton Dee Farm’s Cheese Bothy with their organic cheeses.
So, we invite you to come along to the market between 0900-1300 and support local food suppliers. We really look forward to seeing you there.
Remember that there will be no parking permitted on the street for the duration of the market and that waiting overnight is also not permitted as we want to have a clear street for the market rig up on the Saturday morning.
Stonehaven Men’s Shed will provide support to the market for the coming year and will also be responsible for the administration and management.
