From Penny Black –

Cycling Without Age Scotland – Stonehaven Chapter is now over two years old.

It’s all about giving people (of all ages) with limited mobility the opportunity to feel the wind in their hair, as they enjoy a  trip in one of Stonehaven Chapter’s trishaws, Rosie and Jimmy.

The service is operated by trained volunteer pilots and the service is free. You may have seen us cycling the trishaws around the town with residents from our local care homes.

What you maybe don’t know is that we offer this service to members of the community with significant mobility issues. If you have a relative, friend or neighbour who you think would enjoy a spin around the town, with or without you for company, please contact us by email for more details :-

It’s fantastic the joy you put into the infirm when you take them for a jolly on these great bikes, it’s lovely to see the smiles on their faces and to hear them chattering to their companions, a great extra to the community, well done to all involved!
