THE final decision on the proposed Community Asset Transfer, CAT, of Forest Park will be made by the Business Services Committee.
When the Kincardine and Mearns Area Committee unanimously refused the Mackie Academy FP Rugby Club’s CAT application, members were advised the matter would be referred to the Communities Committee – prompting Cllr Sarah Dickinson to question whether this was the appropriate policy committee.
Mrs Dickinson received a reply from a senior solicitior clarifying the situation and confirming that as the land was never held as housing land, the Business Services Committee is the appropriate policy committe. This committee next meets on September 15 .
