STONEHAVEN CHORUS CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The Stonehaven Chorus (Stonehaven and District Choral Society) is holding their Christmas Concert on Sunday 11th December 2022 at 7.30pm in Stonehaven Town Hall.

The choir is conducted by Ralph Jamieson, musical director and accompanied by pianist Blair Cargill and will be performing a wide selection of Christmas music including 21st century composer John Rutter’s Magnificat, Mack Wilberg’s O Holy Night and pieces from Handel’s Messiah.
Included in the programme are two very moving Ukrainian piece’s namely A Prayer for Ukraine and Schedryck both of which be will be sung in Ukrainian.
The concert also features a string quartet who will playing the Pastoral Symphony from The Messiah.
During the concert the audience will as usual have the opportunity to sing along with the chorus some traditional Christmas carols and songs including the well known Walking in the Air, the theme song from The Snowman.
A welcome glass of wine/ soft drink will be provided on arrival.

The chorus is holding a Come and Sing day on Saturday 25th February 2023 in St.Bridget’s Hall, Stonehaven. More details to come about this.

Our Spring Concert is on Sunday 21st May 2023 in Stonehaven Town Hall where we will be performing Elijah by Felix Mendelssohn.
