Local man Thane Lawrie published his first book in December called The Buddhist CEO.
The main character in the book, Hamish, lives in Stonehaven. The book has received a fantastic reception since its release. Hollywood stary Ajay Mehta, who was in shows such as The Sopranos, Sex and the City and The Mentalist recently posed for the cameras holding a copy of Thane’s book. Isaac Singleton Jr, the voice of the God Thanos, in the Marvel films also boasts a copy.
Thane, said that when he sat writing his book about a man living in Stonehaven he could never have believed that it would be so well received around the world. The story tells of one man’s struggles to live by his spiritual beliefs whilst trying to deal with the stresses and strains of working as the CEO of a large company.
