Expressive NorthEast

Despite how grey the northeast can appear, it’s a very colourful place, filled with creative and interesting people.

As the LGBT+ Outreach Coordinator for Aberdeenshire, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many of them. Unfortunately for many people in the LGBT+ community, outside of the bigger cities, there aren’t a lot of places to express that creativity with community of people like ourselves.

Expressive NorthEast provides a space for LGBT+ people, allies, and people who are exploring their identity to meet in a fun, relaxed social setting. It is an arts and crafts meeting where every month we try a new fun activity such as knitting, painting, or origami. More than that, Expressive NorthEast helps build confidence and community by encouraging people to express themselves through art, conversation, and connections. Community involvement is really important to us, so we want you to get involved and let us know what direction you want to see the meetings take!

We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at Stonehaven Library. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or experience. More information can be found on our website, fourpillarsuk.org, and our Eventbrite page, https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/four-pillars-11420713268. If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, please send us an email!

be strong, be safe, be you.
