TOMORROW (Tuesday) evening’s meeting of Stonehaven and District Community Council starts with the formal business of its AGM before yet another busy agenda of updates and discussions.
One bone of contention is the refusal of Councillors to share any information regarding a £5.2 million procurement plan for environmental and infrastructure projects in south Aberdeenshire. An announcement was made last March of the planned spend, but our elected representative are unable to divulge any details saying this remains exempt information – leading to much frustration from the community council and other members of the public, who want an understanding of how such a large sum is being spent. Freedom of information requests have met a similar brick wall.

As usual the meeting will be held in a hybrid format, with members of the public to attend at the old Court House at 7pm, or to join via Zoom – meeting ID: 838 7009 6887, passcode 650858
