A NEW lifeboat station complete with merchandise shop is on the cards at Stonehaven harbour if a recent planning application gets the go-ahead.
The RNLI hope to alter the former Maritime Rescue International Ltd building to form the new station.
The proposals include the installation of security cameras, floodlights and a flagpole – and a complete facelift for the building.
Permission is also sought for a small rear extension, removal of existing entrance features to rear, replacement windows and doors, including a large boathall door,replacement roof coverings & cladding; inclusion of corporate colours; new ramp / steps; signage; communications antenna; ground source heatpump; and brickbond grille security shutter to the shopfront.
