The Community Collective (Stonehaven)
A new community group based in Stonehaven with big ambitions and even bigger hearts.
Set up by an initial group of 20 volunteers all with close association to Stonehaven and with a history of community volunteering. The Community Collective is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation with charitable aims. By the community for the community.
Funding has been secured from:
Kincardineshire Development Partnership Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund
Tackling Poverty & Inequalities Aberdeenshire Innovation Funding
Public donations (in cash & kind)
Records of income and expenditure will be maintained by the Treasurer and a fully transparent financial statement will be published publicly monthly.
As of 12th October 2023 the ‘Blue Room Blether’ community cafe will run every Thursday from 2-4pm in the Blue Room at Stonehaven Community Centre. All are welcome to come along for a free cuppa, a fine piece and a good old blether! We cannot wait to meet some new faces and catch up with some familiar ones.
This weekly event is funded by Kincardineshire Development Partnership Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, however any donations will be gratefully received.
Our next project is ‘The Living Room’ funded by Tackling Poverty & Inequalities Aberdeenshire Innovation Funding
Open three days a week from November onwards this will be Aberdeenshire’s first Public Living Room. A cosy, safe, welcoming, non-denominational space based in what was Stonehaven Community Centre Cafe. Run on a ‘pay what you can’ basis offering breakfast, hot drinks, soup and a hot lunch dish alongside newspapers, magazines, games, chat, Wifi and charging.
If anyone would like to support or discuss our projects please contact our Chairperson Julie Gray – firstname.lastname@example.org
