Aberdeen Folk Orchestra is an inclusive community group of mixed abilities musicians who come from Stonehaven, Aberdeen and surrounding areas.
All instruments are welcome and we enjoy playing tunes from a wide range of musical traditions around the world: some old and others not so old.
Currently, our repertoire includes music which is Scandinavian, East European, South American, Irish and other traditional tunes closer to home, as well as some original compositions.
If you saw us in concert at the Stonehaven Folk Festival, you would have heard a fair sample of what we do.
We meet once a week throughout the school year, over three terms and we aim to play three or four concerts.
