Here’s the perfect cure for post summer sadness – an uplifting concert of music ranging from Harry Lauder to Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett to Robbie Shepherd and JS Bach to Boogie Woogie.
Award winning pianist and educator Richard Michael BEM returns to his native Stonehaven to give a concert in Dunnottar Church on Friday 4th October 2004.
Recognized as one of the UK’s leading jazz pianists and educators, Richard has taught thousands of youngsters the art of improvisation through his pioneering work in leading the Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra since 1972. He began his professional career playing hotels in Stonehaven and Aberdeen with the Alec Sutherland Band and with his dad’s concert party.
Richard Michael (piano), Hilary Michael (violin and sax) and Joanna Duncan (violin) bring their own unique brand of entertainment back to Stonehaven following Richard and Joanna’s successful concert in Dunnottar Church last year.
All three musicians work in a variety of musical contexts and guarantee you will leave the Church with a smile on your face.
