Christmas at the Shed

By Stonehaven Mens Shed / December 4, 2024

As we move into the Yuletide period the elves in the Shed have been gey busy manufacturing the traditional offerings using recycled wood which will be sold at upcoming Stonehaven Farmers & Produce Market on Saturday, 7 December 2024. Hang on a minute, though…….yes, the elves have been busy chap chap chappin’, hamm hamm hammerin’, and glue glue gluing (or is’t glueing) putting together items like those shown on the left.

Now, there’s another group of elves that have leapt into the 21st century and are using thon fancy computing and lasering devices….like Jimmy Bond! These compu-elves have been training and familiarising themselves, and each other on, on the Shed’s recently acquired laser engraving set up. A sample of the results of all their efforts are shown below:

These are laser etched onto slate coasters (which are actually square, around 4″ or 100mm). These will be on sale at £3.00 each or 4 for £10.00.

The following are laser burned onto wood and all can be personalised with names as shown…

These will also be on sale at £3.00 or 4 for £10.00

So while elves of every genre are busy in the Shed it’ll be sales on a first come first served basis though orders will be taken on the stall with the aim of completion and collection in time for Christmas Eve. Payment will be required along with order at the market.

Come along and support your local market and your local Shed.
