SSEN lodged their application for a 400kV substation at Fetteresso Forest earlier this month – with the documents submitted including a map showing the possible extent of future developments.
The transmission company describe the project as being a key element of their proposed Kintore to Tealing Overhead Line Connection. And their application reveals the extent of the connectivity of the substation to other future renewable projects.
Community councils asking for more time for response
The Bellman understands Stonehaven and District Community Council is to ask the planning authority to allow more time for their response – joining Mearns Community Council and others who note the timing of the application coinciding with the festive period.
