Last Saturday Stonehaven Rotary’s Young Chef Ben Malcolm, an S4 pupil at Mackie Academy, who came second in the District final, travelled to Stirling for the All Scotland Young Chef Final.
There were 6 Scottish finalists and Ben was the winner.
He wowed the judges with his main course of pan seared cod with ratatouille, crispy kale and saffron potatoes and a dessert of white chocolate cheesecake with a mixed berry compote.
He now goes on to represent Rotary in Scotland at the final in London on Saturday 29th March 2025.
Ben wants to study catering at College when he leaves school.
