Slower Stonehaven

By Jane Cruickshank / April 7, 2025

ABERDEENSHIRE Council’s proposals for new, reduced speed limits over much of the town are up for discussion at tomorrow night’s (Tuesday’s) meeting of Stonehaven and District Community Council.

To comply with the Scottish Government’s National Strategy for 20mph speed limits in built up areas, the local authority intends making two traffic orders: one to revoke existing orders that would become obsolete and a second one introducing new limits. The following map shows the proposals for Stonehaven.

SDCC is a statutory consultee in such matters and can make comment if they wish.
