Stonehaven Golf Club has always been known for its spectacular clifftop views, warm community spirit, and challenging course — and now, it boasts a newly upgraded clubhouse to match!
Thanks to generous match funding through the Government’s Levelling Up Grant, the club has recently completed a series of major enhancements to its clubhouse facilities, making it more accessible, comfortable, and enjoyable for members and visitors alike.
At the heart of the upgrades is a strong focus on accessibility. The main entrance from the car park to the clubhouse now features brand-new disabled access facilities, ensuring a smooth and welcoming arrival for all. Inside, new disabled toilets and improved accessible amenities have been installed, opening the door for full access to the entire clubhouse — including the popular View Restaurant, known for its delicious menu and stunning coastal outlook.
Speaking of the view — it’s now better than ever. New windows have been installed in the lounge area, perfectly framing the club’s famous seascapes and creating a lighter, more open space to relax after a round.
To complement the internal improvements, the club has also completely replaced the balustrade around the View Restaurant and the side entrance to the clubhouse. The result is a fresh, modern look that enhances both safety and style, while preserving the welcoming charm that Stonehaven is known for.
Club representatives were quick to express their gratitude for the Levelling Up funding, which was awarded on a match basis. This critical support made the upgrades possible, helping the club take a significant step forward in its commitment to inclusivity, sustainability, and community involvement.
“We’re incredibly proud of the improvements,” said a club spokesperson.
“They make the clubhouse a space that truly everyone can enjoy — whether you’re a golfer, a diner, or simply here to take in the view.”
