Chairperson Vacancy – Lead Our Charity to Make a Difference
Are you passionate about making a real difference in your community? Kincardine and Deeside Befriending is looking for an inspiring and committed leader to take on the role of Chairperson.
We provide life-changing support to people over 55 who are facing isolation and loneliness. We cover a large geographic area and have offices in Stonehaven and Banchory. We have a full time senior coordinator, a part time coordinator, and a part time administrator who run a very efficient and caring organisation. We have over 60 dedicated, committed and fully trained befrienders who provide invaluable support on a regular basis to their befriendee. The charity is overseen by a board of trustees who are friendly and fun and are currently looking for a new Chairperson to provide strategic leadership, ensure good governance, and support the staff and trustees in delivering our mission. This voluntary role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we support while working alongside a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
We are looking for someone with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a good understanding of the charity sector. Experience in organisational management and financial oversight would be an advantage.
