St James’ Church is hosting an evening of brass music on Sunday May 18 at 7pm.
Granite City Brass have been entertaining with their music for 175 years and are fresh from their victory at the Scottish Championships in March which they won with an outstanding performance of Morley Calvert’s Introduction, Elegy, and Caprice, impressing both the audience and adjudicators to claim the top spot.
At St James’, they will play alongside the Granite City Community Band in a performance conducted by Matt Bailey. You can look forward to a lively and uplifting programme in a beautiful venue.
The free concert is open to all, with a retiring collection in support of Church funds.
