Stonehaven Golf Club is absolutely delighted to be one of the proud sponsors of The Stoney Express this season – because let’s face it, nothing says “community spirit” quite like a miniature train bringing big smiles to wee faces (and let’s be honest, plenty of grown-up ones too).
The Stoney Express isn’t just a bit of fun – it’s a genuine asset to the town, chugging along as a proper little tourist attraction while giving locals a joyful reminder of how brilliant Stonehaven can be. It’s the kind of thing that makes visitors fall in love with the place… and locals feel just that wee bit smug about living here.
To thank sponsors for their support, the wonderful Stoney Express crew kindly invited us aboard for an inaugural spin. Naturally, the Golf Club team leapt at the chance – any excuse to avoid a bunker and hop on board a train! As you’ll see from the photos, the sun was out, spirits were high, and there was even a hint of childlike glee (and that was just from the Captain of the Club!).
