New Family-Run Farm Park Opens Near Stonehaven

A brand-new farm park has opened its gates just outside Stonehaven, offering a fun and educational day out for families in the North East. Grains Farm, run by local husband and wife team Lewis and Holly Emslie, is celebrating its first year of welcoming visitors to the countryside.

Open every weekend from April to October & extra day in the school holidays, 10am–4pm, the farm gives guests the chance to meet, feed and pet a range of friendly animals, explore indoor and outdoor play areas including a bale climb, mud kitchen, pedal tractors and a role play village, and enjoy a relaxing break with snacks, soft drinks, and coffee from the on-site farm shop.

Visitors are very welcome to bring a picnic and soak in the stunning views across the surrounding countryside—a perfect way to unwind while the kids play.

Grains Farm also runs seasonal Pick-Your-Own flowers and pumpkins, offers birthday party packages, and hosts a twice-weekly toddler group, Little Lambs, every Monday and Friday during term time – helping little ones build confidence through outdoor play and animal encounters.

Lewis and Holly, who have two young daughters, are passionate about connecting with the local community. “We want Grains Farm to be a place where families can not only have fun but also learn about farming and where food comes from,” they said. “We’re starting small, but we have big dreams. We hope Grains becomes a popular destination and helps support other local businesses too.”

Tickets can be booked online at www.grainsfarm.co.uk, and the couple kindly ask locals to like and share their social media pages to help spread the word and support a growing small business @grainsfarm
