Back in May, The Bellman shared news of the impressive improvements underway at Stonehaven Golf Club. From upgraded facilities to a brighter, more accessible clubhouse, the changes have made a real difference to members and visitors alike.
Now, the final piece of the puzzle has clicked into place.
Club Manager Brenda Gowans was delighted to confirm that the stairs at the side entrance have now been completely replaced—bringing the full programme of works to a close. “The committee and members are absolutely delighted with the final result,” she said. “It means the clubhouse is not only more welcoming today, but ready to serve generations of golfers for many years to come.”
In the main photograph, Brenda—wearing the blue top—is pictured alongside several members of the golf club team on the newly installed staircase, while TSE looks on. Also present are Teresa, Danielle, Jackie, and Richard, contributing to a warm and celebratory moment.
Also, back in May, Stonehaven Golf Club became a sponsor of The Stoney Express—a gesture for which the Stoney Crew are immensely grateful. So, it was only right that the Wee Train took a run up the hill to inspect the finished works and deliver the official Stoney Express “Toot Toot” of approval.
It took us a wee bit of time to get up the hill, but it gave the Stoney Crew a chance to enjoy the views along the way. And once we saw the new staircase, we knew the climb had been worth it—the Wee Train was clearly impressed with the finished result.
The Club team were suitably impressed with The Stoney Express too, and Brenda added that the committee and the members were delighted to be a sponsor—another way to show how important it is to support your community. “Toot Toot!” said The Stoney Express in total agreement. Well done, and thank you so much, Stonehaven Golf Club.
