Fiona Bashford explains what your purchase of a Nordmann Fir helps achieve:
At 1st Stonehaven Scout Group we are fortunate enough to have a wonderful hall and grounds that enable us to run all sorts of Scouting activities right here within the town.
Activities like sleepovers, tent-based camps, campfire cooking, whittling, axe work, rope skills to name a few. We support over 100 young people in Stonehaven across 5 sections from Beavers to Explorers.
We also have a hall that can be and is used widely by the local community for exercise classes, martial arts, fundraising and birthday parties. Not only do we have a strong team of volunteers running the Scouting activities, but another team working behind the scenes to keep the building running. With rising costs over recent years, that aspect is no mean feat!
Our annual Christmas tree sale is an important part of making sure we have the funds available to keep the building running and in turn enable scouting activities to thrive in Stonehaven. We are reaching out to the community to please consider supporting scouting in Stonehaven and buying a tree from us this year.
