ONLY a few more days remain for a consultation on Aberdeenshire Council’s proposals for a pedestrian crossing near the Cowie Bridge.
The local authority proposes to introduce a PEDEX crossing in Stonehaven under Chapter 27, Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The crossing location is at the B979 Bridge of Cowie, from a point 44 metres north of the extended east kerb line of Belmont Brae to a point 106 metres north of the extended east kerb line of Belmont Brae.

Details of the proposal, location plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to introduce the crossing, may be examined online via www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/roads/traffic-management/traffic-measures/
Anyone who objects to the proposals is asked to email the Council by 2 January 2026 – full information is given in the link above.
