THE following planning application was validated during the week beginning Monday 2nd March at Aberdeenshire Council’s Viewmount office.
The Old Granary building on the Shorehead was cementitious harled and painted in the mid 1970s when the building was converted into a home. This has now been mechanically removed, and the stone facade remains on the south and east elevations. The planning department have asked for the harling to be reapplied. The applicants have commissioned a report on the history of the building and are requesting permission to retain the stone facade.
