Heavy rain put paid to any prospect of golf on Saturday, the course closed all day. Friday’s overnight downpour was followed by a substantial deluge the next morning so there was really no hope of any golf after that.
It was a shame given members were licking their lips having absorbed two days of the Masters on telly. Still, there’s always next week and with it hopefully some favourable weather.
