A STONEHAVEN singer appeared on STV Radio this morning in a competition offering three emerging Scottish artists the chance to support iconic artist Marti Pellow at his Kelvingrove Bandstand Glasgow shows this summer.
The former Wet Wet Wet frontman will take to the stage on 6, 7 and 8 August and Breakfast hosts Ewen and Cat - who will be warming up the crowds at the Bandstand with their trademark mix of music, energy and banter – have narrowed down their shortlist to five standout performers.
The shortlisted artists have been performing on Ewen and Cat at Breakfast each morning this week:

- Róisín McCarney from Glasgow opened the search with her original track Meet Me in Montauk. Róisínbegan sharing videos on TikTok after losing her job during the pandemic, quickly building an audience for her distinctive sound.
- The Getaway is Ryan Lawrie from Coatbridge on vocals and Jamie Adamson on guitar from Dunfermline. Ryan has long been a songwriter, with credits including tracks for Grammy‑nominated South Korean group BTS, while Jamie performs with rising Scottish artist Cammy Barnes.
- Emma Jane from Clydebank showcased her original track Magic. Emma has been performing since 2005 and has earned multiple independent music awards, most recently winning a BCMA Award(British Country Music Association)for her album GROW in 2025.
- Singer‑songwriter Grady Kinnell from Keltie Bridge performed his original track Talk It Out. Grady has been singing since the age of 12 and slowly building an online presence with his music.
- Florence Jack from Stonehaven performed her original song Damsel in Distress. Florence is an independent pop singer‑songwriter and multi‑instrumentalist who has been releasing music for the past four years.
