The retail industry has faced significant challenge and change in recent years, so it’s a pleasure when a family chooses Stonehaven as the venue to open their establishment. Without the courage of conviction demonstrated by so many business owners in our town, the community vibe would be threatened but thankfully local businesses continue to serve us and are a blessing indeed.
One of the most recent additions to our town centre is StoneyTech on Barclay Street, around the corner from McHardy’s. It sells and repairs mobile phones, tablets, computers and gaming consoles for the public and local business. The shop opened for business in April this year but is born out of a wider family business which has traded for twelve years in Montrose, (AngusTech). They’d identified room for a similar shop in Stonehaven to serve the local community and they have been greatly encouraged by the reception received so far.
With the world growing increasingly digital and electronic, their aim is to attend to the needs of locals either requiring new devices or the repair of existing ones. Technology is constantly developing so the business is committed to keeping up to date with industry changes, ensuring customers are able to access products and services without necessitating a trip to the city.
Opening hours are 9:30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 10:00am – 4.00pm on Saturday, otherwise you can contact them on Facebook/Instagram anytime.
We wish the shop and the family well, as we do all of our committed and faithful Stonehaven shop owners and businesses. You keep our town thriving! If you have a business in Stonehaven that you’d like us to inform the community about please drop us a line and we’d love to find out more.
