Lots to take your interest… Grow Your Group Funding Workshops Relaunch KDP and Partners are delighted to announce the relaunch of the Grow Your Group Funding Workshops held in 2017. This programme addresses the ongoing need to support groups and organisations on sources of funding and make strong, robust applications. The first workshop on Planning is to be held on 30th April 2019. We will have more information in next week’s bulletin but contact the KDP office at officesupport@kdp.scot for a full programme and bookings. Fairer Aberdeenshire Fund The Tackling Poverty & Inequalities Group, Aberdeenshire Council are now accepting applications for round one of the Fairer Aberdeenshire Fund 2019/2020. The aim of the Fairer Aberdeenshire Fund is to achieve the following outcomes:The life chances of people at risk of falling into poverty, or already living in poverty, will be improved.People in Aberdeenshire will improve their skills to ensure people can secure sustained employment and maximise opportunities for income.People in Aberdeenshire will be digitally included ensuring improved access to services and opportunities.A minimum grant of £10,000 will be available with the maximum of £50,000 to any individual project. There is an expectation that applications will outline match funding as it is unusual for this funding to cover total costs or projects. Closing date for applications is 12 noon, Friday, 29th March 2019. For more information – click here Mearns & Coastal Healthy Living Network – Project Manager VacancyMearns and Coastal Healthy Living Network are a charity providing services and activities to enable older people to live independently in their own homes for longer. They are looking for a Project Manager to manage and develop the work of the Healthy Living Network by providing leadership and support to a team of staff and volunteers. Creating and developing partnerships across Kincardine and the Mearns including service users, carers, voluntary and statutory partners. Kincardine Development Partnership – Services Survey Kincardineshire Development Partnership (KDP) is currently conducting a feasibility study to ascertain the viability of creating a social enterprise, employability programme for young people. It is envisaged that the social enterprise will provide a range of digital, graphic and film services. We would be grateful if you would complete the following survey to help us identify whether or not there is a market for such services among Community Groups and Organisations. To complete the survey – click here Food for Thought Education Fund Phase 7 The Fund allows Local Authority Schools and Early Learning and Childcare settings to apply for grants of up to £2000 to develop projects that promote food and health as a context for learning, and support the Scottish Government aims for a Good Food Nation. For more information – click here Community Resilience Workshop – Inverbervie Award-winning social enterprise Scarf, in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council is hosting a series of Community Resilience Workshops in Inverbervie, on the 13th, 20th and 27th March (9.30am-2pm at the Living Rooms). These are communities which are most vulnerable to adverse impacts of weather events brought on by climate change.
