NESFLAG Coastal Communities Challenge Fund 20-21

NESFLAG (North East Scotland Fisheries Local Action Group) has been allocated an additional £196,159 to deliver to coastal communities in Aberdeenshire during 2020-21.

This funding is drawn from revenue generated by the Crown Estate Scotland’s inshore waters and is intended to support and develop coastal communities in Aberdeenshire.

NESFLAG Coastal Communities Challenge Fund (CCCF) will provide grants of between £10k and £50k to projects in Aberdeenshire which support the following priorities:

  • business diversification and innovation in key economic sectors;
  • add value and promote innovation in the seafood supply chain;
  • create jobs and facilitate lifelong learning and training;
  • promote social wellbeing, cultural heritage and community development;
  • enhance environmental assets in coastal areas.

All projects must include match funding of at least 10%.
All projects must be completed by March 2021.  An application deadline has therefore been set for Friday 18th September.
