The Stonehaven Business Association & Tourism Group and Stunning Stonehaven are excited to have secured a CLAN Light the North Lighthouse so Stonehaven will be part of their fundraising Trail event March to May 2021 (originally scheduled for Sept/Oct 2020) in collaboration with Wild in Art (which will be along similar lines to the 2019 “Oor Willie” statues, and Dolphins in 2014).

CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established, local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends.  Their services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis and diagnosis through treatment and beyond at support and wellbeing centres located across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.

The SBA are very excited that Stonehaven will have one of these individually painted Lighthouses to help bring people back into the town as they do the trail and “collect” them via a mobile App. Special offers from many local businesses make it worthwhile collecting! It puts Stonehaven on the trail map, being the southernmost Lighthouse in this, Visit Scotland’s extended Year of the Coast and Waters.

It is a fantastic opportunity for the Stonehaven business community to increase awareness of all Stonehaven has to offer and bring more people to our local community and businesses and at the same time raise money for a very worthwhile cause. More than ever we will need to attract people back to Stonehaven once things get back to normal.

Keep an eye on the SBA and Stunning Stonehaven Social Media channels for teasers in the coming weeks!

This project with CLAN Cancer Support in partnership with Wild in Art will shine a light across the north-east with the Lighthouse sculpture trail.  The SBA and Stunning Stonehaven in bringing the lighthouse trail to Stonehaven, promises a beautiful, individually designed lighthouse in a prominent position in the town centre.

Having delayed for many months, they are now fund raising by asking for businesses sponsorship and public donations via their Go Fund Me crowdfunder at

Alternatively, donations can be given via PayPal or via Bank Transfer to Stonehaven Business Association – please request details from
