Good afternoon Stoney! Yes, the calendar has moved on and here we are going into the first Saturday of November and the monthly Stonehaven Farmers’ & Produce Market.
Stonehaven & District Men’s Shed are, again, pleased to be assisting in the organisation of this month’s market. If you need any help seek out the guys wearing the blue tabards.
The Market will be in place this Saturday between the hours of 0900 and 1300 hours. We will be hosting the regular stallholders with their offerings of fresh food across the spectrum, highland beef, pork, locally sourced game meat and fowl; the freshest of fish from Aberdeen along with shellfish from Johnshaven. We’ll have the bread guys with their wide range of baking to suit all tastes, including gluten free. For the sweet toothed there’s Jamie, Karen, Linda and Shona with their unique confectionery offerings. Richie will be there to bring a little spice into your lives. Fresh veggies? You’re covered with Westerton Farm. Making a welcome return to the market is Cambus o’ May Creamery with their grand selection of locally made cheeses. A Taste of Scotland will be on hand will be there also to top up your decanters!
We have two newcomers for this market. They are Chris from Raw Culture who will be selling lines from their craft Kombucha range, and Ulkar, who will be selling imported speciality loose leaf teas along with dried fruit and nuts. This will be their first market presence so take the opportunity to investigate these two new stalls as well as support the regular stall holders.
Please don’t attend the market if you are unwell or exhibiting the signs of Covid infection. We want to keep it safe for all. Masks are not mandatory as this is an outside event but we realise some people may feel more comfortable wearing a mask, and this is OK too.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday. Meanwhile, take care.
