From Alzheimer Scotland –

Our local team work hard to ensure people are kept as well informed as possible, as well as offering support in alternative ways during the pandemic and will continue to support people as we navigate out of the pandemic.

It’s possible that during this time, with fewer people out and about, an awareness of what supports are available, has led some individuals to not realise Alzheimer Scotland is still present and supporting many local people, with weekly groups in Stonehaven, 1:1 and group carer support, advice & support, including home visits from Dementia Advisors, plus a wide range of groups online that are not restricted to location.

Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Link Workers also deliver Post Diagnostic Support to those affected by a new diagnosis, the individual plus carers and families – this service is commissioned by Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership, who also fund some of the group supports via the community activity organisers.

Our other supports as detailed in the following what’s on guide and our Dementia Advisors are delivered using fundraised income.
