Aberdeen based charity, Scottish Culture & Traditions, is thrilled to be able to continue with exciting opportunities for young people aged 6-26 to be involved in Scottish Traditional music. Including taster sessions, weekly classes, a free summer Youth Camp (11th-15th July), busking trails and more, it is a very exciting year ahead for SC&T Youth.
SC&T Chairperson, Richard Ward commented:
“We at SC&T are absolutely delighted to have been awarded a Creative Scotland grant for our SC&T Youth programme 2022-23 which will be bigger and even better than in previous years. The award is a testament to the high regard in which SC&T Youth is held at Creative Scotland and the success of the programmes we have run in the past few years. This success is due in no small measure to the enthusiasm and expertise of our project managers, Laura Harrington and Kirsty Campbell. Credit is also due to the wonderful and talented young folk who have adapted to our inability to run face to face classes, workshops etc over the past two years. We are sure that they, together with our excellent tutors, will relish the opportunities we can now provide for both in person and continued elements of online tuition.
