THE passing of the late Queen’s coffin cortège on Sunday will be a shared memory and tribute for many people in Stonehaven.

She said: ”’People, from pensioners to parents carrying babies, thronged the bridge near the Aberdeenshire Council dépôt to watch for the cortège and many others lined the roadside, including a very gifted piper – he’s on the right – to pay our respects. Everyone appreciated the bridge road being closed to traffic so that we would be completely safe”
