THE Market Bar once again showed what community spirit was all about at the weekend by handing out cheques totalling £11,500 to local groups .
The money was raised by the pub’s fun day and throughout the year. This is the fifteenth year the Market Bar has made a fundraising effort – a grand total of £151,000 has been raised from the start. It is a much needed boost to help Stonehaven volunteers.
This year’s groups benefiting from the £11,500 are: Stonehaven Highland Games, Defib for Stonehaven, RNLI, Dunnottar Pipes and Drums, Stonehaven Gymnastics Club, Air Ambulance, Stonehaven and District Lions Club, Stonehaven Living Room, Maxifaciall unit, Kincardine Community Hospital, Stonehaven Horizon Project, St John’s Court and the Ury Players.
A big thank you to Lorna, Shane and the locals of the Market Bar for this money.
