After a four-year break, the much-loved Stonehaven Baby Fair is making its long-awaited return this spring, marking its 14th year with a fresh new look and plenty of community spirit.
Taking place at the Stonehaven Town Hall on Sunday 11 May from 10am-2pm the event promises a day full of family-friendly fun, local shopping, and expert advice for parents and parents-to-be.
This year’s fair is being organised by four local mums who themselves run local businesses — Jade Gordon (Sona Mum), Maxine McCall (Whispering Wonders), Francesca Philp (Little Lives First Aid) , and Nicole Hepburn (Nurtured Baby)—who have brought the event back to life. All passionate about supporting families and local enterprise, the women have pooled their expertise to breathe new energy into the event while keeping its original focus and event organised by mums for mums.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing the Baby Fair back to Stonehaven It’s not just a marketplace—it’s a space for learning, and support. Whether you’re expecting your first child or chasing your toddler around, there’s something here for everyone” explained organiser Jade Gordon.
What to Expect The fair will feature more than 30 stalls showcasing local businesses, including handmade baby clothing, eco-friendly products, nursery essentials, and parenting services.
Every year the fair has supported a local charity and this year is no exception with AberNecessities coming on board to run the raffle and collect donation for goody bags.
“We are delighted to be supporting AberNecessities this year and visitors will be thrilled to see the Baby Fair goody bags back again,” said Francesca Philp.
One of the fair’s main goals is to spotlight local business and create opportunities for small, family-run businesses to connect with the community. Many of the stallholders are parents themselves, offering tried-and-tested products and services born from their own parenting journeys.
“There’s a real sense of community at events like this and it brings so many people into Stonehaven benefiting other local business,” explains Maxine McCall.
