Gordon Ritchie MVO, Deputy Lieutenant of Kincardineshire, was delighted to visit Mr David White at Clashfarquhar House, Stonehaven, to celebrate his 100th Birthday on Sunday 11 May 2025, and to present the Birthday greetings card on behalf of The King and Queen.
Mr White has been a resident of Clashfarquhar for 3 years and previously lived at Westhill. He was joined by his 2 daughters Lesley and Aileen, and son David who had travelled over from California. He was born in Old Aberdeen and had a lifelong career with Post Office Telephones and BT, latterly dealing with new telephone exchanges in the North of Scotland and Shetland.
His interests included golf, foreign travel, gardening and Jazz music, and he also had a keen interest in stone circles and ancient monuments, publishing a book on the topic.
