MEMBERS of Stonehaven Amateur Swimming Club are now fundraising for a training camp in Lanzarote this autumn.
The club has a group of twelve swimmers and three coaches going to a sports complex in Lanzarote called Club la Santa the first week of the October school break – but it will be no holiday.
There they will swim for four hours a day in a 50m outdoor training pool – two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening. There will also be an activity hour every day with yoga, boxing, kayaking on offer and some downtime to rest.
To help meet costs, the swimmers have a race-night fundraiser on the 8th May – see the following flyer.
