Rhythm Nation Duo Selected for Commonwealth Games 2026 Opening Ceremony

Two talented  employees  from Rhythm Nation Dance and Fitness  have been chosen to take part in the opening ceremony of the in Glasgow.

Lauren Sanderson and Erin McIntyre were officially selected to perform at the highly anticipated international sporting event, which will welcome athletes and audiences from across the Commonwealth to Scotland in 2026.

The pair, who both train and work with Rhythm Nation Dance and Fitness, described the opportunity as a “dream come true” and said they are excited to represent their dance community on such a prestigious stage.

The opening ceremony is expected to showcase Scotland’s culture, music and creativity to a global audience, with performers from across the UK taking part in the spectacular event.

Staff and students at Rhythm Nation Dance and Fitness have celebrated the announcement, praising Lauren and Erin for their dedication, talent and hard work.

A spokesperson for the organisation said: “We are incredibly proud of Lauren and Erin. Their commitment and passion for dance has earned them this amazing opportunity, and we know they will represent Rhythm Nation brilliantly at the Commonwealth Games.”

The opening ceremony will take place in Glasgow in summer 2026 and is expected to attract millions of viewers worldwide.
