STONEHAVEN and District Community Council, SDCC, has issued agendas for its AGM and business meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) – but there are real fears they may fail to elect office bearers and a competent committee.
There are now clear problems within the ranks of our community representatives. With the fear of collapse, at their last meeting SDCC agreed to transfer a series of ring-fenced accounts to the Stonehaven Town Partnership in order to keep the money available for projects such as servicing the town’s defibrillator machines and erecting the Christmas tree.
It has already been flagged that tomorrow’s AGM, at 7pm in the Courthouse at the Sheriff Court Building, will see the resignation of our Community Council chair and treasurer – hot on the heels of a host of other members over the past few months.
As shown in the agenda, efforts will be made to elect the required office bearers. A minimum of seven members is then required to fulfil the requirements of Aberdeenshire Council’s Scheme of Governance of Community Councils.
Time will tell – will there be a business meeting or AGM chaos and collapse?
Both agendas are below followed by the Zoom link to join the meeting online.
It must be cautioned SDCC have experienced technical issues with Zoom so cannot guarantee the success of the hybrid format.
