BELLNEWS NOW — SPECIAL REPORT

THE TARTAN ARMY LEGACY & THE UNMASKING OF THE TARTAN ARMY PHANTOM STICKER STICKER

ANCHOR: (Jock Noscotlandnoparty) Good evening, America — and Scotland. Our final story tonight brings closure to a tale that has travelled across states, across oceans, and straight into the hearts of millions.

CO‑ANCHOR: (Weevgot McGinn) Scotland may have exited the tournament earlier than hoped, Jock — but the Tartan Army’s impact here has been unforgettable. They didn’t just support their team. They supported everyone. They sang with strangers, danced with police officers, shared food, shared stories, shared pints, and somehow turned every city into a temporary Scottish street party.

ANCHOR: Officials across the United States now agree: Scotland didn’t just bring football. They brought friendship, humour, music and goodwill — and America won’t forget it. Even though they left the tournament early, they still managed to leave behind the unique Scottish calling card — a traffic cone on every statue they passed.

“The Tartan Army didn’t win the World Cup — they won the world.”

THE TARTAN ARMY PHANTOM STICKER STICKER — THE FINAL CHAPTER

CO‑ANCHOR: In a time when America needed a bit of joy, the Tartan Army arrived like a travelling carnival of kindness and chaos. And at the centre of that whirlwind… was one mysterious figure.

ANCHOR: For many days, identical stickers appeared everywhere the Tartan Army travelled — on benches, bridges, subway trains, tourist spots, even a hot‑dog cart. Witnesses described a fast‑moving, kilted figure armed with pipes, stickers and an accent that baffled linguistics experts.

THE TARTAN ARMY PHANTOM STICKER STICKER — THE UNMASKING — A STONEHAVEN REVELATION

In the end, the mystery wasn’t cracked by the FBI, Homeland Security, or even the NYPD’s Accent Task Force. It was solved by Chris Stirk of Ma Simpson’s Music Shop, who took one look at the photos and declared:

“The phantom sticker sticker has to be our very own Panto Dame, train driver and ex geordy Gary Brindley.”

And she was right. The Phantom Sticker Sticker turned out to be Garry Brindley — Stonehaven’s own Panto Dame and the train driver of the globally famous Stoney Express. The stickers that baffled America were not coded messages, diplomatic tags or FBI evidence markers… they were simply Stoney Express stickers, which Garry carries everywhere like a man determined to brand the planet.

Chris’s sharp eye didn’t just solve the case — it earned her a prize unlike anything ever offered in Stonehaven: a fully hosted ride for her, her family and her friends on the Stoney Express, at a time of her choosing.

And while Garry will be at the controls, the journey itself will be narrated by Dod Reid — a legend in his own right, former Fat and now Slim Controller, and storyteller extraordinaire. Expect warmth, wit, and the kind of commentary only Dod can deliver.

A unique honour. A global mystery solved. And another proud moment for Stonehaven’s finest. Chris and her chosen entourage being whisked through Stonehaven like royalty.

CO‑ANCHOR: And speaking of photos — the now‑famous image of Garry being “apprehended” by Boston’s finest has gone viral. Experts say it may be the friendliest arrest ever recorded. Two officers standing there in full kit… and in the middle, Garry Brindley — kilt, face paint, pipes, stickers, and a grin so wide it looks like he arrested them.

One officer later confirmed: “He wasn’t resisting. He wasn’t running. He just hugged us and said we looked ‘fair braw’.”

ANCHOR’S WRAP

Before we close tonight, a few new images from the Tartan Army’s American adventure have surfaced — each raising more questions than answers and we thought we would also include the others just for fun……..look very closely now 🔎.

In Chicago, Garry was photographed beside a “No Guns” sign on a train. The sign didn’t stop him. Nothing ever does.

At O’Hare Airport, he was spotted inspecting the official Cannabis Amnesty Box. He didn’t deposit anything — but the box looked nervous.

And on Route 66, the historic sign now features a familiar Stonehaven face. Historians are baffled. Stonehaven is not.

Through it all, one thing has become clear:

The Phantom Sticker Sticker is Mr Garry Brindley — Stonehaven’s one and only Panto Dame of The Ury Players, Piper extraordinaire with Dunnottar Pipes and Drums, Stoney Express Driver and now… international icon.

Goodnight — and Slàinte.

The Bellman apologises for the delay in releasing the results — circumstances beyond our control held things up.
