SSEN Transmission Fetteresso 132kV substation upgrade – Notice of Consultation Event at Drumlithie Bowling Club, Tuesday 28 July from 3pm – 7pm
We previously concluded the Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) process on this project with events in August and October 2025 where several elements of the project were to be included under our Statutory Undertaker Permitted Development rights.
Following a recent Court of Session judgement (Raeshaw Farms Limited v. Scottish Ministers and Energiekontor – the “Raeshaw Case”), these elements now form part of the Project and need to be included under our Town and Country Planning application so we are reconsulting on the project and will be hosting 2 PAC events, PAC1 and PAC2.
These are to take place on Tuesday 28 July and Tuesday 15 September (details of the PAC2 event to follow after the summer).
We are proposing to upgrade the existing 132kV Fetteresso substation located in Fetteresso Forest, to increase network security and resilience, address asset integrity requirements as well as accommodate future incoming connections.
